Joanna has worked with organisations looking at business and the disability issue since 2008, and prides herself on understanding their business reality, and working with them so that they can deliver. She was a Director at Business Disability Forum for five years where she supported members in improving their disability performance, and developed the Disability Standard (and was involved with an Australian pilot of the Disability Standard).

Joanna became a consultant in 2013, and is an associate of the Business Disability Forum. She appreciates working with a variety of clients, as well as having an ongoing relationship with Sainsbury’s customer experience team. She is particularly interested in the overlap between age and disability, and is now building on this by doing a MSc in Gerontology at King’s College London. She was originally a lawyer before pursuing other avenues, and is a qualified executive coach. She was born deaf.
