Learning Directly from Disabled People Webinar
business disability international and the ILO Business and Disability Network take pleasure in inviting you to join our free one hour webinar, kindly hosted by EY, to mark the release of bdi’s inaugural publication, ‘Learning directly from disabled people’.
Chaired by the author of ‘Learning Directly’, Kate Nash OBE, (our bdi colleague, & Founder of PurpleSpace), this webinar aims to enable global leaders to learn directly from disabled customers and colleagues, in a way which benefits business, the global economy and the societies in which we operate.
Objectives of the webinar:
- Enable global leaders to articulate why it is important for the business to learn directly from disabled people – and how to make this happen, as a matter of routine
- Explore the implications for any ‘Global Head Office. Is ‘learning directly’ culturally appropriate in every country? What will differ? How do we overcome reluctance to meet ‘face to face’ in regions where these conversations rarely happen? What do national leaders need from the centre?
- Explore how cases studies from bdi’s founders Barclays, GSK and Infosys can be used to inspire and inform. What did they do? What did they learn?
- Support senior disability sponsors and function leaders to create frameworks which makes it possible for the organisation to act upon direct feedback from disabled customers, colleagues and potential colleagues.
Date: Tuesday 6th December
Time: 11:00-12:00 GMT/London
Format: Webinar (joining details will be circulated to attendees 1 week ahead of the session)
